Course Description and Expected Outcome:

 

This beginner friendly pottery course is perfect for those with little or no experience working with clay.

 

You will learn the fundamentals of handbuilding and wheel throwing pottery techniques in a relaxed and supportive environment. Over the 6 classes, you will learn how to center clay on the wheel and form a basic bowl shape, use handbuilding methods such as coil and slab, refine and decorate your pieces, and be introduced to glazing techniques to finish your pieces. 

 

Cost of supplies additional and to be paid at first class. Every student will require at least 1 bag of clay ($35).

 

Registration Deadline: September 5, 2026

Student Registration: Min 5/Max 9

 

Beginner: Students are new to the art or craft being taught. No experience is required.

Intermediate: Students have a basic understanding of the art or craft being taught. Students have taken a class or workshop previously or have otherwise had hands on experience with the art or craft.

Advanced: Students have significant experience with the art or craft being taught. Students are comfortable and competent with the art or craft.
