Course Description and Expected Outcome:
This class will provide basic instruction on the use of fast-drying acrylic paint. Students will learn a variety of techniques such as colour mixing, brush work, knife work, blocking, and washes while creating landscape and abstract works of art.
Students will also learn how to use gel medium and other materials mixed with acrylic paint for a variety of finishes.
Students will complete at least one piece of art with the goal being 2.
Cost of supplies additional (approximately $50) and must be purchased prior to the first class:
10 tube Windsor & Newton brand acrylic paint tubes (~$25)
Soft acrylic brushes (7pk ~$15)
Two 8x10 canvas boards (~$10)

Introduction to Acrylic Painting
Beginner: Students are new to the art or craft being taught. No experience is required.
Intermediate: Students have a basic understanding of the art or craft being taught. Students have taken a class or workshop previously or have otherwise had hands on experience with the art or craft.
Advanced: Students have significant experience with the art or craft being taught. Students are comfortable and competent with the art or craft.
