Introductory and Intermediate Watercolour Painting Class

Course Description and Expected Outcome:
This course will provide instruction at both the introductory and intermediate level for Watercolour Painting. The introductory students will learn various watercolour techniques such as colour washes, light and dark contrast, wet on wet, and wet on dry by exploring painting subjects such as still life, animal portrait, and landscape. Student will create unique paintings as they are inspired by what they have learned in class.
For the Intermediate level students, they will bring to class their own image of choice to work on in class and be assisted by the instructor to create the results they aspire to achieve as they grow in their skills as watercolour painters.
Cost of supplies additional.
Students must obtain Nicpro Watercolour kit with either watercolour pans or tubes or bring
their own existing materials. The kit will include paint, brushes, paper, mixing tray and color wheel. They will also need to acquire craft paper gum tape (available at any craft store or through Amazon) and regular painters’ tape.

Beginner: Students are new to the art or craft being taught. No experience is required.
Intermediate: Students have a basic understanding of the art or craft being taught. Students have taken a class or workshop previously or have otherwise had hands on experience with the art or craft.
Advanced: Students have significant experience with the art or craft being taught. Students are comfortable and competent with the art or craft.
