Workshop Description and Expected Outcome:

 

In celebration of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, participants will learn about the history and significance of the Ribbon Skirt in a hands-on workshop led by Cheri Rain, who specializes in Indigenous designs and is the owner of Kimowan Apparel.


Each participant will receive a kit containing all the materials needed to sew their own Ribbon Skirt.

 

Funded by FCSS 2026 grant funding.

 

!!REQUIRED!!: Sewing experience and knowledge of sewing machine use.

Registration Deadline:

Student Registration: 5 Min / 10 Max

 

Beginner: Students are new to the art or craft being taught. No experience is required.

Intermediate: Students have a basic understanding of the art or craft being taught. Students have taken a class or workshop previously or have otherwise had hands on experience with the art or craft.

Advanced: Students have significant experience with the art or craft being taught. Students are comfortable and competent with the art or craft.
